Really enjoyed the course. The lectures were interesting and to the point. The progression was fair and it was well-structured. The language around Algebra was also very informative.

The class was challenging and the assignments were rigorous training. I like the word problems and how fractions are used as a more complex way of learning and doing the math.

The written material is very well done. There aren't enough practice problems. Some of the questions on the quizzes and test are not similar enough to the practice problems. Therefore, I had nothing to use to figure out how to do the questions. I am not analytical. If you flunked a test you could retake it again which is good, but they use the exact same questions. All you have to do is memorize the answers to the questions and you can pass. They should at least change the values of each question to see if we can transfer our knowledge of how to solve a similar problem.

It was an ok class. I no longer have high expectations for math courses; far too many instances of questions on quizzes not matching the content taught in terms of difficulty and lack of explanation on how to solve them. The example problems while helpful for the most part lack the difficulty which is encountered in the quiz problems. A lot of word problems aren't intuitive and require you to search for how to solve them elsewhere. Big curse of knowledge issues with math instructors.

Certainly doesn't start off at the elementary level. Explanations are insufficient and the exams at the end go off the rails very quickly. Examples in the lessons are very rushed and don't thoroughly explain concepts in a way a beginner can understand. I found myself having to look up better explanations of things such as absolute values on other websites.

I went through the entire course and at the end it would not let me submit my score. I ended up having to unenroll instead of submitting the final. I should have a certificate. Instead I have hours lost and no certificate. I don't have time for this.
