There is 1 module in this course
In this course, you will explore project planning techniques, focusing on the predictive approach, which includes the classic techniques of project management. You will learn about each technique and discuss the modifications needed for hybrid and adaptive approaches. You will start by writing the scope, which defines both the project management approach and the technical performance characteristics of the project. You will then develop the work breakdown structure (WBS), a fundamental step in creating the cost and schedule. You will discover techniques for estimating the project's cost, a crucial aspect everyone wants to understand. Next, you will construct the network diagram to define the schedule and derive the critical path, one of the most important concepts in project management. As the project progresses and performance data accumulates, you will estimate the revised final cost and duration, a process known as cost and schedule tracking. You will also learn how to determine the variances from the plan.
