This degree is ideal for either current or aspiring cyber professionals intending to build a comprehensive understanding of the methods, approaches, and concepts in cyber security. You’ll build essential skills to secure your career as a cyber security specialist in an industry that’s growing at an unprecedented rate (adding almost half a million security professionals in 2022).
You’ll develop strategies to help organisations safely adapt to emerging technologies such as blockchain and AI. Expertise in security system design and a comprehensive understanding of modern security mechanisms will prepare you for real-world career success, readying you to make an immediate impact at any organisation.
Depending on your time and commitments, with the University of London, you can choose whether to study the Master of Science (MSc) in Cyber Security, Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) in Cyber Security or a Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert) in Cyber Security.
The PGDip Cyber Security consists of: one core module (15 credits) and seven optional modules (15 credits each)
The PGCert Cyber Security consists of: one core module (15 credits) and three optional modules (15 credits each)
For direct entry to the MSc, PGDip or PGCert you will need a bachelor’s degree which is considered at least comparable to a UK second-class honours degree from an institution acceptable to the University. You will also need a high level of English which can be evidenced through English proficiency tests.
